The unseen battle

You see me falling and watch me crash-land
You say your my friend and give me your hand.
While behind the darkness of the night
You plan to destroy my Imaan, out of spite.

But I see behind your facade
Your fake gestures of kind regard
You seek only to infect me with this disease of the heart
For goodness and I to part

Indeed you are mankind’s worst enemy;
This battle may require the strength of ten of me.

At times when my heart feels weak,
And you rejoice at your defeat.
I make Du’aa and reflect upon my year
It is only then I realise the end is near!
